Jack Screw Worm Gear Box (J)

Jack Screw Worm Gear Boxes are predominantly used as manual overrides for Single Acting and Double Acting Linear Actuators. Jack Screw Worm Gear Boxes are also used for operation of any linear valve such as Wedge Gate, Globe, Sluice Valve, etc. utilizing manual drive, electric motorized drive or pneumatic drive.

FEATURES


  • Highly Rigid and Self-Locking Trapezoidal Screw. 
  • Low speed, low frequency, mainly used for large load. 
  • Jack Screw is incorporated with a rectangular key which engages in a precision keyway throughout the spindle length. 
  • One significant benefit is the mechanical advantage, achieved through the internal gear ratio resulting in the ability to lift lower, push or pull a significant load with a relatively small amount of torque on the input shaft. 
  • Standard housing material is Ductile Iron / Carbon Steel. Other material options are available. 
  • Stainless Steel input shaft, fasteners, handwheel etc. available upon request. 
  • Supriya Jack Screw Gear Box is fitted with high performance axial and radial thrust bearings. 
  • Special features such as limit switch box, padlock arrangement, chain wheel arrangement, extension shaft for buried service, etc. are available.
  • Maintenance free, increased durability and Grease filled for life. 
  • Supriya gear boxes are available with IP68, IP67 Ingress Protection certified. 
  • Special Seals and grease are provided for severe service applications. 
  • High temperature upto +200°C and Low temperature minus (-)52°C variants are available.
