Air Accumulator / Volume Tank (DAFS)

Compressed Air Reservoir / Volume Tanks are prominent in any pneumatic systems. Volume Tanks also cater to valve automation application as an integral part of Pneumatic Double Acting Fail Safe Actuator. Under source/signal failure, it provides an uninterrupted supply of air source to move the actuator to predefined fail safe position.

FEATURES


  • Supriya DAFS Tank is made from carbon steel or stainless steel material. 
  • All Air Vessels are designed as per ASME Sec VIII Div I and Manufactured as per ASME Sec IX.
  • DAFS tanks can also be integrated with booster for charging the air vessel to elevated pressure. Booster with pressure intensification ratio 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1 are available. 
  • Air Vessels are available with CE-marked complying to PED 2014/68/EU.
  • Air Tank with control valves can be configured to emergency operational situation - a) Loss of Instrument Air, b) Loss of Electric Signal 
  • Valve “response” to the emergency condition can be set as — 

a.) Fully Close
b.) Fully Open 
c.) In Last Position 
d.) Continue Throttling.

1) Supriya DAFS Volume Tanks acts as a reservoir of compressed air for peak demands or process control. 
2) Actuators are also coupled to Volume Tanks for regular operation. This ensures lesser load on the compressor and minimizes pulsation in the system caused by a reciprocating compressor or a cyclic process downstream.
3) Pneumatic Actuators are generally operating at 7bar; whereas automation circuit having volume tank charged to 14bar (Using 300psi Air Tank) be coupled to store air at elevated pressure enabling specific fail-safe actions with higher pressure ratios.
